What is this page?
Just an online help to search through word list. You can use it as anagram lister, poet helper,
crossword puzzle solver, codeword coder-decoder, and in general as the help
for any word game you love (of course, hangman is the best :-).
The most typical use is to find words that start with, end with, or contain certain letters.
What is NOT this page?
Dictionary, an official word list, Wiki etc. This is just a little online helper for crossword fans. No warranties of any kind!
Which words are in the list?
words from the Enable2k North American word list. It contains more than 150,000 words, spelled mostly
US, sometimes British. It does not contain one letter words, like "A".
Warning: the words in the list are uncensored. Some words from the word list may offend some people.
Do not use this website if you have a problem with it!
Where the definitions come from?
Definitions marked [1] come from the great (and free) resource called OPTED.
How can I search, especially knowing only a few letters?
Follow those examples:
1) Simply type in desired word to find anagrams etc. Example: doors
2) Use a hyphen (dash) instead missing letter(s). Example: d__rs
3) Use an asterisk (star) for any number of missing letters. Example: doo*

Yes, it is possible. Contact me and tell me what is missing. Again, this is not an official English word list or dictionary.

Of course yes please! I will be very pleased, but, however, I cannot give you a reciprocal link (due to common *no time* reasons, see above :-( I plan to write an automatic link-exchange system, but this is just a bright future now.)
